P-Diddy
and Bad Boy Entertainment Marks 20th Anniversary of Notorious BIG’s Death.
Today Marks the 20th anniversary of the death of world-renowned rapper and
recording artist, Notorious BIG. Notorious BIG also known as “Biggie” was a
rapper, label mate and close associate of Sean “P-Diddy” Combs. Biggie as he was
fondly called was murdered in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles on May 9th
1997. Real name,
Christopher Wallace, Biggie Small’s murder to this day remains one of the most
controversial and mysterious feat in the history of rap music. Regarded to this
day as one of the greatest rappers of all time, Wallace hit the music scene in
September 1994 with the release of his acclaimed debut album, Ready to Die.Biggie’s
high-profile beef with fellow rapper Tupac Shakur also played a major role in
his catapult to superstardom. Some conspiracy theorists believe that Tupac Shakur
– who was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas six months
earlier — was behind Biggie’s death.

Big Brother Naija: Kemen Finally
Speaks, Pens Heartfelt Apology To TBoss And All Women.
Former Big Brother
Naija Housemate, Kemen, has tendered a heartfelt apology over his indecent act
which led to his disqualification from the reality game show.
In a long letter written through the Official Sponsors of the show, Payporte,
Kemen acknowledged that what he did was wrong and therefore asked for TBoss’
forgiveness as well as that of other women. Payporte shared a picture of the
Kemen with the letter which reads:
“My name is Ekemini
Ekerette, popularly known as Kemen (@ Kemen_Fitness) one of the Big Brother
Naija 2017 Housemate. I am a Fitness Trainer and a Model before joining the Big
Brother house.

“I knew that
everybody was playing the game in the house at the same time competing for the prize.
I realized that I overplayed my game which brought about my disqualification.”
“As you all know, I have my fitness
outfit, where I train a lot of people
both men and women. There has been no case or report of such acts from me. I
regret the turn of play while trying to play and compete for the prize. I
apologize to Tboss’ family, her fans and friends for hurting their perception. I
also use this medium to apologize to all women being the International Women’s
Day, and the entire crew of Big Brother Nigeria, including my fans and family. I
acknowledge the eternal truth embedded in the age long postulation that the
price of greatness is responsibility. I hereby accept the responsibility
arising from the public perception of my latest actions in the big brother house.
Consequently, I apologise to all who may have been offended
by the interpretation of my actions and/or inactions throughout my stay in the
house. May I use this opportunity to apologise to Tboss in the light of the
current issues arising from that night’s scene. I’m truly sorry and never
thought it could end this way. To my family, friends and all who have expressed
displeasure over my conduct which led to my disqualification,
I pray that you find space in your heart to forgive
me and give me another chance. To Big Brother and the Organisers, I remain ever
grateful for the opportunity granted me on such a huge stage. Finally, as I
call to mind the fact that in life reality and perception have a fine
line of difference, I can assure that given another chance
I will consciously create a reality that leaves no one in doubt of my inner
strength and positive values which will ultimately earn me a positive
perception. I trust that the God of a second chance will avail me with
opportunities to right this wrong.
Ekerette Ekemini.”
Big Brother Lacks Moral Obligation To
Disqualify Kemen Over The Same Immorality The Show Portrays
|
|
A lot has been
said already about Big brother’s decision over the Kemen/Tboss sexual
harassment issue. While some viewers agree that Kemen was wrong to have groped
on TBoss while she was asleep, others accuse TBoss of not sleeping but quietly
enjoying the act only to worsen the accusation when Big Brother asked her about
it. According to several comments on social media, most people think the Big
Brother show itself is immoral enough and has led the young man to his
embarrassing exit, therefore Big Brother had no moral obligation to disqualify
Kemen on the grounds of unconsented sexual harassment.
To that effect, Kemen has
been advised to sue Big Brother, who by this disqualification has ruined the
reputation and career of the fitness trainer, his family and the whole of Akwa
Ibom State.
According to
PressPlay, the Big Brother show is full of several acts of immorality and
sexual activities that have been perpetrated by contestants and condoned by the
organizers since its inception. Therefore, expecting morality from an immoral
show was a fallacy. In a bid to defend Kemen’s action, the case of Debby Rise
kissing Bassey while he was asleep is also making rounds as some people think a
judgment should have been passed to her also. The saddest part is that Kemen would henceforth be stigmatized and become victimized as a sex offender which would damage his relationship and business and some Nigerians are urging him to sue for defamation of character. This is what
Nigerian singer Tunde Ednut has to say about Kemen’s disqualification: “Bullshit!
That girl didn’t shout or complain after she woke up and saw him. Cut me that
slack Big Brother. People have done all different kind of things in that house.
All of them should be disqualified plus BIG BROTHER himself. This whole game
looks staged to me. The only problem now is that Kemen will have a bad name for
a long time.”
