MEET OUR HEROES
INTERVIEW WITH THE BEST GRADUATING STUDENT, 2015/16 SESSION
1. Can we meet you sir?
My name is Adebayo Adedeji
Kolawole. From Ibadan, Oyo State. The first born in a family of five. I had my
primary school education in Jet-Age Nursery and Primary School, and secondary
school education in Graceland High School. Both in Ibadan.
2. How do you feel today sir to have been inducted into the
Veterinary profession?
Very fulfilled I must say.
Those years in Vet school were very challenging. But with God's help, I was
able to scale through.
3. You are the best graduating student this year sir with 6
distinctions. There must have been a lot of hard work involved. What are your
motivations sir?
The main pushing force for
me is the simple belief in the fact that for one to succeed in life, it is
important to put in one's best in everything one does. God only blesses the
work of our hands. Secondly, I believe in aiming for the best. Underestimating
one's self is the beginning of failure.
4. What advice can you give to vet students who wish to achieve such
feat sir?
It's quite simple. Examine
the task ahead, make a decision to succeed, draw a plan, work towards the plan,
pray and be consistent. However, all that requires a lot of determination and
discipline.
5. Can we know your proposed area of specialization sir?
Small animal medicine.
6. Which lecturer are you most grateful to sir?
I really can't single out
one lecturer. I'm very grateful to every lecturer in the Faculty. God bless
them all.
7. Which was your best course of all the courses in the vet
curriculum sir?
I liked many courses.
Physiology, Virology, Theriogenology etc. It's difficult to choose one actually.

Veterinary profession?
I feel so happy and excited
today. Today is a day I have always dreamt of and now it is a reality.
3. You are the AVMS president for the 2015/16 session sir. You have
combined politics with Vet and have been successful at both. What advice can
you give to those who wish to achieve that sir but are doubtful if politics
will not interfere with their academics?
Hmm. Vet alone is stressful,
not to talk of combining it with politics. But all the same, my advice to
everyone out there that wants to combine vet school with politics is all about
dedication and commitment and also about management (I mean how you can balance
the time for academics and also the time for politics). *STAY FOCUS...*

Veterinary Theriogenology
