So, a few days back my friend came home looking very sad and being the good friend that I am, I reached out to know the reason. Onyinyechi, why the long face, did anyone take your biscuit? I asked giggling. She hissed loudly and then answered, these Ibadan taxi drivers are just very rude, can you imagine I entered a cab today going to Challenge and before entering the cab, I told the baba I was going to alight at Paris Bakery at ring road and he said No problem, only for him to tell me halfway through the journey that he had to take another route because a group of police men were on the road that he was supposed to take and so I would have to alight and take another cab, the worst part was that he was shouting at me and insulting me in his so called Yoruba language when I was trying to explain to him that I really don’t know my way around here ,see ehn, Ayo, I’m just very angry, hungry and tired. I felt really bad for her and could totally relate with her experience.
You can imagine how I and Oyinyechi were very glad when we heard that we didn’t have to tolerate the bad behavior of some Ibadan taxi drivers.
