Madagascar Defeated Nigeria 2 Goals to Nil to Claim the Top Spot in Group B

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, while flying, were unfortunately shot down by the Barea of Madagascar. Following a defensive error from a back pass, the Super Eagles conceded their first goal since the commencement of the tournament. Lalaina converted the mistake of Balogun Leon by running through and dashing the ball through with his left foot and in the net at exactly 13minute to the start of the match. The Super Eagles who had been taking possession of the match was optimistic of an equalizer, but it never came through. In the 53rd minute, Carlous (Madagascar) doubled the goal by a stunning free kick, thereby increasing the equalizing line for the Super Eagles. The match ended 2 goals to nil in favour of Madagascar. With the loss of Nigeria making them the runner-up in Group B, they will have to play against Cameroon in the knock out phase of the tournament.

A new development has sprung up to help upgrade sporting activities in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine by not just limiting sports to the conventional football. This was brought up by the current AVMS administration and the new development featured the likes of lawn tennis among other sports.

Coming next is one of AVMS’ most favourite football match known as Upper Vet vs Lower Vet. Upper Vet vs Lower Vet is a match usually played at the beginning of the session with 100l to 300l representing the lower vet and 400 to 600l representing the upper vet. Match will come up 12th Friday July 2019.
