VET CRASHES OUT OF 2019 JAW WAR

It was a particularly emotional Friday for Vet students when the vet medicos were brutally sent out of Jaw War by Faculty of Science with just 1.99 points gap. The speakers representing veterinary medicine, Olaoluwa Ola-Williams and Onyeonora Chidera on November 29th failed to convince the judges of the event that conception of sickle cell children should not be criminalized. The Jaw War 2019, however, was a the highly prodigious competition.

According to the President of Vet Literary and Debating (L&D) Society, Adeoye Toyin, the success of the society this year was hinged on the massive support garnered from the faculty members both by content contributions and physical support. She also acknowledged the unflinching support of the Association of Veterinary Medical Students (AVMS), reiterating that they were supportive even at times hopes were not near. She then advised members of the faculty to turn up for subsequent events to keep speakers' spirits alive.

Many members of the association, despite the loss, were still very proud of the great stride achieved by vet L&D this year with many congratulating and giving massive kudos to the society.

Meanwhile, on that same Friday, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine came 6th out of the 14 faculties in the university at the Lanre Bello Interfaculty Debate organized by JCI(Junior Chamber International). According to an observer, "it was an indeed unfortunate Friday for L&D."
