VET RELEASES EXAM TIME-TABLE

On Monday, 16 December, 2019, the Sub-Dean Undergraduate, Dr Tayo Ajibade, released the draft copy of veterinary medical students’ examination timetable, just a few days to the end of years holidays. The examination, according to the draft timetable, will span from 17th February 2020 to 6th march, 2020. According to many students, the timetable was out remarkably earlier than previous releases and it is obviously an important sensitization to the fact that preparation for examination should begin and students should not be too lost in the jollies of Christmas and New Year celebrations. "Party responsibly and note that tests and examinations will open the doors of 2020," an observer said.

VET STUDENTS DECIDE AS OLAOLUWA, OLAMIDE GET ELECTED

Members of Association of Veterinary Medical Students, University of Ibadan (AVMS UI), on 18th December, 2019 voted for the candidates that will sail the affairs of the association in the next administration (i.e. 2020). The election, which was conducted from on Wednesday, allowed the electorates vote for their candidates. According to the results later released by the Independent Veterinary Medical Students Electoral Committee (IVMSEC), Ola-Williams Olaoluwa and Oladejo Olamide got elected as President and Vice President of the association over their opponents (Akindele Uthman and Akinsete Funmilayo respectively) at the polls. However, other aspirants of the election went unopposed and were all elected into their respective posts. The election results also revealed that the presidential aspirants had the same number of votes from their constituency (i.e. DVMIV), each of them having 28 votes.
