PREMIER LEAGUE CONTINUES, LONDON TEAMS FINDING THEIR FEET IN THE COMPETITION

The premier league continued last weekend with a lot of action as Liverpool continued their unbeaten run at Anfied as they go 17 games without a loss. With a 2-0 lead over Watford, it seems Liverpool will continue their winning streak bar injuries to their important players. Chelsea also continued their losing streak as they have only won once in their last five games, having a 1-0 defeat against AFC Bournemouth very recently. Frank Lampard will have a lot to do in this transfer window. Leicester that has largely impressed her fans this season could only settle for a 1-1 draw with Norwich City. Leicester will need to work real hard to overtake the runaway Liverpool. Sheffield United also went 3 point up as they beat Aston Villa 2-0. Mourinho continues to lead the impressive Tottenham Hotspur to the right direction as they won 2-1 away to Wolves, this win will take them to 26 point (3 point behind 4th position Chelsea). Arsenal strengthens their downward progression as they lost to Manchester City 3-0. It seems there is something not going right in London as all teams in London have largely struggled this season. Manchester United after impressive wins in their last two games could only settle for a 1-1 draw with a rejuvenated Everton.

DEAN’S CUP CONTINUES AS 100 LEVEL, 500 LEVEL BUMP OFF THE RACE

Association of Veterinary Medical Students, University of Ibadan (AVMS UI) hosts her Dean’s cup which features amazing display of football prowess amongst students of the faculty. All levels of the faculty have played against each other at group stages and quarter finals of the competition to attain ultimate positions at the semi-finals and finals of the competition to claim the gold medal. The group stage results of the competition are as follows:

Lawal Harmony, a player from 600 level is the highest goal scorer of the competition, scoring 3 goals in the completion so far.

On Wednesday, 18^th December, 2019, 600 level played against 400 level and the senior level had 1-0 win, 600 level qualifying to the finals of the completion.

The competition will continue on Thursday, December 19, 2019 as 300 level will face 200 level to fight for a position at the finals against 600 level.
