Examination Tips
Many
times, we have heard different people rejoicing after the examinations,
claiming that the exams were walkover; however, on seeing their results,
reverse would be the case. As we are well acquainted with, there are different
skills that have to be applied to ensure unprecedented success in examinations.
Here are 5 examination tips that if followed scrupulously will prevent bad
output and yield good and excellent results.
1. READ:
Examination will never be sweet if you have nothing in your head. How much you
read determines the outcome of your results. Try to cover syllabus and
painstakingly take note of key points in your lecture note. Read and solve past
questions, at least two or three previous questions will help and acquaint you
with how questions will look like.
2. READ ALL QUESTIONS
CAREFULLY: Having read and prepared fully for your
exam, now in examination hall, do not panic, at least you have put in your
effort. Get your question paper and read the question very carefully. Many a
time, students jump into answering of the question immediately they collect
their question paper; this is detrimental to your input, never try that! Instead,
read thoroughly and that will prevent you from providing wrong answers to right
question for which you might know answers to. It will also preclude choosing hard
question when simple question are amongst the choices.
3. TIME MANAGEMENT:
Many of the times, students say '' how I wish I could attempt that simple last question.''
This happens as a result of time mismanagement. To prevent this, specific time
should be allotted to each question. Never waste your time on any question,
instead leave it and continue with other simple question.
4. STRUCTURE YOUR ANSWER:
Prior to answering any question, think of how to put your answer in such a way
that examiner will understand and fetch you great marks. Remember that the examiner
needs specific points, so try to make them obvious in your answer.
5. REVIEW YOUR ANSWER:
Some questions seem easy whereas they require critical thinking which you might
notice only when checking for the second time. Don't just finish and submit,
check your answers once again and add some accessories that could fetch you
more marks.
Don't
just read it, try it and I wish you success in your forthcoming examination.
