 MEET THE NEW VETERINARY MEDICAL OFFICIALS 

Professor Olufunke Ola-Davies: 

Professor Olufunke Ola-Davies got her DVM degree from the University of Ibadan in 1992. A skilled biochemist, she has been awarded the FCVSN degree. She is a member of the Society of Toxicology, USA, and the Biochemical Society, UK. She obtained her PhD from the University of Ibadan in 2010, becoming a Reader in 2015. In October 2018, she was promoted to being a full professor, becoming the first female professor in the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry. In 2021, she became the first female dean in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. 


Doctor Oluwaseun Ogundijo:

Dr. Oluwaseun Ogundijo is from the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. He obtained his DVM degree from the University of Ibadan in 2012. In 2015, he took up a position as a Quality Control Manager in Dynamic Apex Investment limited. Leaving this post, he joined the Sunshine Veterinary Consult as a veterinarian in 2016. Thereafter, he was a Feedmill Manager at Fola-Afe Agrovet Services from 2017 to 2019 and a Researcher at Hygrodynamix Nigeria. He became a lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine in August 2019. Doctor Oluwaseun is skilled in epidemiology, animal nutrition, management, and animal husbandry. In 2021, he became the Sub-dean Undergraduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
