LOMING HOSPITAL’S SHUTDOWN: STRIKE THREAT RIDICULOUS, SAYS FG

The Federal Government, on Sunday, described NARD’s (National Association of Resident Doctors) strike as a ridiculous threat.

The Minister while addressing the issue said; Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) consists of associations of nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists and other health workers. If the union is serious about its threat, government hospitals in the country will be paralyzed.

Some of the issues, according to JOHESU, are the adjustment of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure as was done with the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure since 2014; payment of withheld April and May 2018 salaries of members and withheld salaries in the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, Jos Teaching Hospital, Lagos Teaching Hospital and the review of the defective implementation of COVID-19 Special Inducement and Hazard Allowance.

Akintayo said, “The meetings with the labour and health ministries respectively are still tentative.

Health professionals and workers need to be well before they can take care of other people. If the Federal Government fails to meet the demands dating back to 2014, it suggests insensitivity and oppression. We need to solve the problems once and for all.

SIGN ANTI-OPEN GRAZING BILL.

A socio-cultural group, Kiriji Heritage Defenders, has urged Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, to sign anti-open grazing bill recently passed by the state House of Assembly.

WHY NORTH-CENTRAL CAN’T PRODUCE NIGERIA’S PRESIDENT IN 2023.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Alex Kadiri has urged party members from the North Central Zone to concentrate on securing the National Chairmanship of the APC instead of decimating energy in seeking for the presidency in 2023.

Kadiri said, “I am a recognized leader in the North- Central.  They invite me to all their meetings. There is nobody of substance who has the capacity to be President from North Central in 2023. Please, prove me wrong and bring that person. At my age, I am not looking for anything from anybody. I am not looking for work. I can only speak my mind. North-West should also forget it. He said: The South-Easterners are my in-laws and there are more Igbos coming to this house than any other tribe in Nigeria because of my wife"

SUNDAY EVICTIONS: TEGA, BOMA, MICHAEL, PEACE HAVE BEEN EVICTED FROM BB NAIJA SHOW

Tega and Boma along with Michael and Peace were evicted from the competition last Sunday, 5th September 2021, after getting low-income votes from the audience. Saga and Nini narrowly escaped evictions as their votes were slightly above average. Social media users have shown how happy they are to see their ‘worst’ couple pack their bags and go home. Tega and Boma’s relationship was so frowned upon and despised by so many.

Tega’s blatant neglect of the fact that she has a husband and still went ahead to entertain and have sexual affairs with Boma got many people angry. Some fans even deliberately voted against them because they didn’t want to see the sight of them in the house anymore.
