Super Eagles of Nigeria defeat the Sudan Falcons of Jediane Saturday evening to qualify for the next stage of Afcon 2021 tournament. 


Nigeria beat Sudan three goals to one after full time of play at Stade Roumdé Adjia inside Garoua, Cameroon.

Coach Austin Eguavoen's team now has six points in Group D with two matches played.

Moses Simon of Nigeria left footed shot from one difficult angle from the left to the bottom left corner gave Super Eagles their third goal.

Khedr Safour Daiyeen penalty kick secure Sudan first goal by 25 minutes into the second half. Simon score at the 46th minute, just a minute into the second half to give Nigeria their comfortable lead. Super Eagles Taiwo Awoniyi header from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. Samuel Chukwueze earlier opened the scoring for Nigeria at the 3rd minute into the first-half.

Nigeria vs Sudan is the second round group D match in the 2021 Afcon tournament . Nigeria currently tops Group D after the impressive 1-0 win over Egypt on Tuesday.

With the full time scores. Nigeria qualfies for the next stage of the African Cup of Nations.



Manchester city beats Chelsea the second time to keep up with the Premier league title race.

Manchester City put 13 points between them and second-placed Chelsea in the Premier League table with a brilliant win over Thomas Tuchel's men thanks to Kevin De Bruyne's brilliant goal.

City already led Chelsea by ten points, and have now effectively knocked them out of the title race with victory today. City were on top throughout, despite some dangerous Chelsea counter attacks, and earned three points thanks to De Bruyne's sensational curling effort in the second half.

Guardiola had confirmed that City picked up more positive Covid cases in their squad this after an outbreak last week, but they were able to welcome back John Stones, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish to their starting XI. Aleks Zinchenko missed out with a knock, while Nathan Ake and Cole Palmer were not fully fit.

City's 12th league victory in a row now means the Blues are in complete control of the title race, although Liverpool have two games in hand to try and reduce their 14 point gap.


DVM III 400LEVEL DEDEATS THE 500 LEVEL TEAM TO WIN THE AVMS DEAN'S CUP FOR THE SECOND TIME ( 2019/2020 SESSION).



On the 10th December 2021, the 400 level team won the AVMS UI dean's cup for the second time after losing to 600level graduate team last year at the final. The 500level team was defeated 2 goals to 1 after the final whistle.

After a tedious professional examination, the 400level team built up courage to stand up to fight for the dean's Cup the third time after losing last year in the final, getting the silver wear. The group stage matches were coupled with a lot of doubts as whether or not it is possible to go through to the knock out phase due to the bulk of examinations that awaited in few weeks.

At the first 25minutes of the first half, tensions were shared equally by both teams as no goal was recorded. The first goal of the match came in towards the end of the first half. A wonderful assist from the midfield was converted by Oluwajimi Paul as he touched the ball through the goal net.

The tension continued in the second half. A counter attack was made through to S-life who controlled the ball through and shot the net, making it 2:0 in favour of the 400level. Few minutes to the end of the match, a shot came through at 23meters away from the net and it was a goal as the 500level team put up a challenge to equalizing. All effort to equalize kept abortive as the composed defense of the 400level team was tight not losing out the aerial challenges.

Awo new stadium was filled with joy and enthusiasm after the final whistle. Medals were presented by Dr T. O Ajibade to players who participated in the final match. Olofinlade seyi (Hessy) was awarded the most valuable player of the tournament.
