Manchester city 2: Tottenham 3



Guardiola’s men lost 3 points in Etihad to Tottenham, opening up the title race for Liverpool, as Liverpool closes up to 6 points following a 3-1 Norwich defeat.

City lost for the first time in 16 Premier League games after a dramatic final few minutes against Tottenham.

The visitors had gone ahead early in the game, but the Blues fought back with IIkay Gundogan equalizer. Harry kane’s prolific performance against City sends a wild signal to top opponents yet to be encountered in the remaining match of the season.

Manchester united defeated Tottenham 4 goals to 2 on Sunday to claim the 4th spot on the EPL table.

200 level (DVM1) defeated 300 level (DVM2) 9 goals to nil.

The 2021/2022 session commenced on a winning streak for the defending Champions of the CBN cup, as they coupled 9 goals all in the 90minutes for the 300level team. Following the strike action by ASUU, students across levels of the AVMS proposed friendly football matches be played.


The first match was played between 200level and 300level on Tuesday 15th Feb 2022. It was an humiliating moment for the 300level team as they couldn’t reply the 9 goals defeat dished them post valentine.

On Friday 18th Feb, another football match came up between 100level and 200level. Reports from SUB pitch stated the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The confidence and courage summoned from recent form by the 200 level team has made the class coach propose another friendly match against the champions of the dean’s cup; the 500level team.

Following the new development brought up by the University of Ibadan sport council, the AVMS has been up with coaxing and appealing to the footballers of the association to avail themselves towards the upcoming inter-department football match, which will be encompassing of every department in the University of Ibadan.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will stand and participate as a department. Training schedules towards the tournament has been made by the AVMS sport secretary.
