AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Dr Jagun lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation, loved her students as her children, taught with so much enthusiasm, ensured that every student was carried along as she taught in the classroom. She was one of her kind, relatable, energetic, cheerful and always ready to deliver. During her life time, she taught both the 500 level and 600level classes of Veterinary medicine; Special, systemic and clinical Pathology.

Students in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in reaction to her sudden demise mourn the deceased as they gave their last words.

Elizabeth DVM IV: I got familiar with Dr Jagun in my 400 level, had issues with understanding some aspects of neuropathology and with her simplified method of "TEACHING"( she was definitely a GREAT TEACHER!), I latched on with the rest of the class without difficulty.

She was a Mother who ensures that are students are on the same page in a particular topic.

Personally, when I look at her, I see and I still see SELFLESSNESS, LOVE AND COMPASSION ( she's an epitome of practical Faith( religion) without bias or sentiment).

I will miss her greatly, may her loving soul rest in perfect peace.

Chiderah DVM IV: Dr Jagun was a sweet soul with a heart of Gold.

She had a unique voice that cuts and burns through with love and correction should anyone go astray

She was both the icing and the cake.

She was a rare asset, an invaluable piece to the faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She exudes the awesomeness of a thousand people in her. I lack the verbal dexterity to explain how I feel right now. Every student that passed through paraclinicals needs to be taught by her. This is a great loss to her family and the Faculty at large and I pray God comforts us all. May her Gentle Soul rests in Perfect Peace.

Rebekah DVM IV: She was one of the best lecturers

She embraced my class and made us to feel at home

She came down to our level and impacted in our lives both academically and morally

She was a mother.

Bolu 100 level: I saw her last during our labcoat ceremony. She spoke to us and I love her. I was looking forward to having a good relationship with her, but so sad I wouldn't get to see her anymore. May her soul rest in peace.

Her corpse was then taken to the University of Ibadan central mosque where the necessary religious rites were performed and thereafter taken to Akinyele local government area Ibadan Oyo state, where she was buried. The brief burial process commenced at exactly 4:00PM on Monday as she was put in the grave. Dr Afusat Jagun JUBRIL lived with children, husband, brothers and sisters-(1975-2022).

We pray such will not happen again in her Family and in the Faculty.

REST ON, DR AFUSAT JAGUN JUBRIL.
