FEATURES: NYSC Iseyin Camp's Veterinary Doctors Grateful for Opportunity to Ensure Meat Safety

The newly graduated veterinary medical doctors at NYSC Iseyin camp have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Oyo state coordinator for affording them the opportunity to practice their profession while stationed at the camp.

Dr. Oreoluwa Oladele, a recent graduate of UI Vet, shared her perspective on their experience with VNO, stating, "We are thrilled to be part of this incredible community of fellow corps members, contributing to everyone's well-being by taking the initiative to inspect meat."

"Our dedicated team of veterinarians is diligently examining the meat, ensuring its safety for approximately 3000 of us. We are staying true to our oath and making a positive impact on our society, all while promoting one-health."

Dr. Oladele also extended her deepest gratitude to the coordinator for granting them the opportunity to conduct meat inspections before it is cooked and served to the camp's residents.

She expressed, "We wish to convey our sincere appreciation to the esteemed Odoba Abel-Oche, the Oyo state Coordinator of the NYSC program in Iseyin. Your decision to permit veterinary doctors to inspect meat for all corps members underscores your unwavering commitment to their health and well-being. This initiative ensures that everyone can consume safe and hygienic meals throughout their camp stay."

"Your thoughtful leadership and dedication to ensuring the welfare of all participants have not gone unnoticed."

Finally, Dr. Ore urged other veterinary medical professionals in different camps to also strive to fulfill their role in inspecting meat before it is prepared and served to corps members. This not only safeguards corps members from consuming disease-prone meat but also provides a profound sense of fulfillment in carrying out their profession.
