BREAKING: NEW CHANGES IN DRESS CODES OF THE STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE TO BE OBSERVED

The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Professor Olufunke Ola-Davies, has urged students to reconsider their dressing habits. The Dean conveyed this message during a meeting with 200-500 level students at the auditorium on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the appropriate dress code for both male and female students. In her words, "It is mandatory for male students to dress appropriately and wear a tie every day except on Fridays, and females are expected to wear a top with a skirt or a decent gown. No T-shirt is allowed during school hours," she concluded.

The Dean also underscored the importance of faculty registration, urging those who have not registered or completed their registration to do so before tomorrow, Friday, January 12, 2024. 'Failure to register might result in not being recognized as a student of this faculty.'

Furthermore, the Dean highlighted the significance of maintaining a 75% attendance for both classes and clinics. 'Failure to meet the 75% attendance requirement may lead to being denied the opportunity to write exams.'

Sub-dean Clinics, Dr. Olaogun, emphasized the need for students to be disciplined, as discipline is essential to success in the noble profession they serve.

Present at the meeting were Sub-dean Undergraduate, Dr. Anifowose , and Professor Cadmus, who also urged students to be serious and adhere to the laid-down rules.

Following the meeting, there was a session for questions and answers, and the meeting was concluded in few minutes before 2:00 pm.
