JUST IN: DVMIII Representative becomes the Veterinary Chef Master of the Year

The Maiden Edition of the cooking competition organized by the AVMS has seen Raji Quadri representing DVMIII( 400 L) emerged as the winner of the competition.

The cooking competition, which took place at the faculty car park on Monday, May 6, 2024, had each class being represented.

Representing 100L was Ugochukwu God's Will, DVMI, Koiki Precious, DVMII, Yomi-Momoh Oluwaferanmi, DVMIII, Raji Quadri, DVMIV, Adigun Hellen and DVMV, Kolawole Aderonke.

Coming second and third were DVMV and DVMI, respectively.

Speaking with the winner on his victory, Quadri said he had seen it coming, and it didn't come as a surprise, 'I trust my cooking skill.'  'When one of the judges asked what I was cooking and I told her rice and stew, she smiled, thinking of what best could come from that, but at the end of the day, I emerged victorious.'

Present at the event were Prof. Adediran, Mr. Onakoya, who served as the judges, as well as Golden Penny brand representatives, who gave prizes not only to the winners but also to those participating in various games, including spinning wheel, charade, and ludo.

The event finished a few minutes before 4 pm with representatives from the National Museum Aleshinloye addressing the importance of our culture and our heritage.
