AVMS HEALTH MINISTER DONATES GLOVES, NOSEMASKS TO STUDENTS



 The Health and Welfare secretary of the Association of Veterinary Students, (AVMSUI), Faruk Odunaike, today, 1st of July, donated packs of gloves and nose masks to students at the preclinical level.

The presentation, held at the Physiology Lecture Theatre(PLT), had students of the 300-level class and a handful of 200-level students in attendance.

Speaking at the presentation, the health secretary stated that he’s committed to ensuring all students have access to good healthcare and welfare status by providing initiatives that promote preventive healthcare.

This action, he said is in line with his vision for the members of the association and the promise made in his manifesto during the electoral campaign towards ensuring proper healthcare in the faculty.

In addition to this, he has also provided hand wash for the student’s toilets at the Department of Veterinary Medicine.

The students expressed their gratitude for this kind gesture by the secretary and promised their unwavering support for future engagements.
