Veterinary medicine has, today, 7th August, defeated Electrical Engineering 3-1 at the SUB football pitch to qualify from Group A.
They got their Seals tournament off to a flying start with a hard fought win over Philosophy, but the momentum was short lived as they fall to a 1-nil defeat against Statistics in the second game of the group stage which left their final match a must win match to qualify.
Vet dominated proceedings right from the blast of the whistle and took their chances well. Tolu slipped Hessy a decisive pass, which he buries into the left corner to give an early lead.
Orodin, who has had a stellar performance in the tournament so far, misjudged his ball and gave the opponent the chance to restore parity from close range.
Hessy restored the advantage soon after. A well-worked corner eluded Tolu, falls nicely into his path and lines his shot well to notch his brace and a second for Vet.
Tolu, who had an eventful evening on the wings got his reward when a cross from Teslim finds him, he controls and calmly slots home from close range to win all three points for Vet and secure qualification.
