Black Thursday for the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan as one of her senior lecturer takes a bow out of this world.
Dr. Gbenga Alaka died in the early hours of Thursday after a protracted period of illness.
Dr. Alaka until his death was a senior lecturer at the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan with area of specialization in Clinical Pathology.
During his life, Dr. Alaka taught with expertise Clinical Pathology to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He was also an active member of the Veterinary community in UI, Oyo state and Nigeria at large. His passing marks a significant loss to the Department of Veterinary Medicine, who recently just lost one of her senior lecturers.
He was an alumnus of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UI and graduated as the best student in 1990.
May God grant his soul repose and grant comfort to the Faculty and family he left behind.
