She commended Dr. Bolaji-Alabi for her initiative in producing a book that would have a lasting impact on the student’s academic journey and future practice.

In her welcome address, Dr. Foluso Bolaji-Alabi, the book’s editor shared the inspiration behind the publication. Dr. Bolaji-Alabi revealed that her decision to write the book stemmed from her realization that veterinary students often lacked comprehensive knowledge of anaesthesia, a vital aspect of veterinary surgery.

“This book was inspired by my students because I want them to be more confident about whatever they know about veterinary and anaesthesia. I tried to put this together by reaching out to other veterinary anaesthesia scholars, especially my mentor, Professor Adeniran Adetunji to be able to put this together appropriately so that nothing will be lacking.

I believe if the basic foundation is solid, then they can be able to build upon it in the near future, maybe through Postgraduate Degrees and the like.

The goal of this book is to make practice in veterinary surgery and anaesthesia very easy. I believe it can also serve as a very useful reference even after graduation because once you are able to get a glance at most of the topics in this book, you will be able to know what you are supposed to do"

Professor S.I.B. Cadmus, delivered a goodwill message during the book launch, highlighting the significance of “Rudiments of Veterinary Anaesthesia for Undergraduates” as a proud product of the University of Ibadan.
