Seals Cup '25: Overview of the Vet Football Team's Performance in the Seals Cup

Since the return of SEALS Cup in 2022, the football team of Veterinary Medicine team has participated in all four editions. Their performances have varied across tournaments, with notable milestones and setbacks shaping their trajectory in the competition.

First Edition (2022)

Vet reached the Round of 16 after qualifying as one of the best third-placed teams with 4 points in the group stage. Notably, they advanced without scoring a single goal. Their campaign ended following a 1-1 draw against IPE, and consequently eliminated by penalty shootout.

Second Edition

The second edition marked Vet’s least successful performance. Although, they once again secured 4 points in the group stage, this was insufficient to progress to the knockout rounds.

Third Edition

The team showed improvement in the third edition, topping their group and defeating the defending champions during the group stage. However, their run concluded in the Round of 16 following a loss to Microbiology.


Fourth Edition

The fourth edition is currently underway. Vet enters the competition with the aim of surpassing their previous performances and achieving a better run in the tournament.

Fun Facts:

In the first edition, Vet qualified for the Round of 16 without scoring a goal during the group stage.

The team has never conceded more than one goal in a single SEALS Cup match.

Four players; Sat, Hessy, Teslim, and Orodin have featured in all four editions of the tournament.

Individual Records:

Hessy is Vet’s all-time leading scorer in the SEALS Cup with 5 goals.

Sat holds the record for the most assists with 3.
