Vet bows out of Seals Cup

In a tightly contested knockout stage fixture of the SEALS Cup, Geology edged past Vet with a 2–1 victory, ending Vet’s impressive unbeaten run in the competition.

Vet entered the match with momentum, having won all their group stage matches. They started with a familiar lineup and looked to impose their rhythm early. Despite a good opening, Geology created the better chances in the forcing key saves from Vet goalkeeper Orodin.

Against the run of play, Vet took the lead midway through the first half when Robinson converted a well-constructed attacking move. The lead, however, was short-lived as Geology equalized before halftime through a well-taken header from a corner.

The second half saw both teams increase their intensity. Vet came close to regaining the lead with a powerful freekick by Tesleem that struck the crossbar. Robinson remained influential, drawing fouls and spearheading several attacking moves.

Geology, however, utilized their opportunity in the final quarter of the match, converting a swift attacking move to take the lead. Despite Vet's attempts to respond in the closing minutes, including a series of set-pieces and aerial threats, Geology held firm to secure the win.

With this result, Geology advances to the next stage of the SEALS Cup, while Vet exits the tournament following a commendable group-stage campaign.
