Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan, To Hold 55th Oath Taking and Induction Ceremony
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan, in conjunction with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, is set to hold its 55th Oath Taking and Induction Ceremony tomorrow Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
The event, scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m., will take place at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Auditorium, University of Ibadan.
Fifty-four graduates are expected to be inducted into the veterinary profession at the ceremony.
The University's Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, will serve as Chief Host, while the President of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, Professor Matthew Adamu, will co-host the occasion. Also expected in attendance are the Dean of the Faculty, Professor B.O. Olugasa, the Faculty Officer, Abibat A. Sanusi, professors and members of staff of the Faculty.
Preparation for the event is in top gear, and the excitement around the faculty is palpable.
Part of the preparation included a trade and job fair organised by Topfeeds, a leading animal feed manufacturer in Ibadan for the students to enlighten on the diverse job opportunities in the veterinary field.
